Pull the plug

I know a few of you might be a bit confused as to why the blog was missing this morning. A bit of an explanation, last night after I had posted some adoption banners I had a "visitor" here going alphabetically using the labels on the left side, checking out each and every post.  When all was said and done, over 30+ banners were downloaded, some of the older story banners don't have the code on them to stop downloading, I need to take care of that today.

I tried to ask on Twitter why this person was doing this, I got no reply.  I have stated over and over that if there is a banner you would like a copy of, all you have to do is contact me. I have posted my Twitter, Facebook and email information for ease of access to me.  This person didn't reply or contact me.  So I pulled the plug last night for about seven hours to prove a point, I was watching and was not happy.

If this continues, I will pull the blog down completely, not just for a few hours, I will leave the fandom and stop making banners. Even though I do not take the pictures of these actor/actresses, I consider the banner mine, my design.  Just as authors of fan fiction do not own the characters, they own their plot to their story.  And when someone takes our work without letting us know what is going on we do not appreciate it.  We work hard for the finished product.

I just wanted to say thank you to all that have supported me these past few days while I was trying to get the issue of my banner being manipulated. I appreciate all your kind words, and all of you that tried to help.

As of right now, I have spoke to the person in question.  She has removed the slaughtered manipulated banner and put up my original banner instead.  She has NOT put credit up with it, but at this time I am just too tired to fight about it anymore.  It does have the christag_banners in the lower right hand corner of my tag so I am willing to drop it.

I have a problem...

I have a problem that has been brought to my attention tonight.  My banners have been posted elsewhere (that isn't the problem) the problem is that this person has cropped and edited MY banner.

This is the original fan banner I made back in Aug 2010:

And THIS is what has been done to it:

As you can see, the border that has my christag_banners tag in the lower right corner, is missing as well as half the banner and the text saying Jackson Junkies.

I really and truly have no problem with anyone posting my banners on their blogs/websites/Facebook/tumblr etc. as long as you DO NOT edit/crop or manipulate the banner and I would like credit in the form of a link back to this website or my twitter account (@Christag_banner).  And if you were really going to be nice...I'd love for you to drop a comment in the post here that contains the banner your going to snag & tell me where you're going to post it.  For a couple of reasons...I like to check out new sites/blogs and another, it is nice to see which sites/blogs are enjoying my banners.

Now, as you all know, I'm not making any money by doing these banners.  I do it for fun.  And when it comes to issues like this...it is no longer fun.  All it does is make me consider taking the blog down and stopping all banners, fan & story banners alike.   So, help me out here.
